Usage notes
These notes explain how to use our timer and its technical limitations. They do not contain a blanket exclusion of liability or restrict statutory rights.
Free, with no account needed
You can use the timer free of charge without a user account. Support through Buy Me a Coffee is voluntary and is not required to use the timer.
For everyday tasks, focus and breaks
The countdown and Pomodoro timer help you organise everyday activities. This tool is not intended for medical applications, emergencies or safety-critical timing. Use appropriate, reliable devices or systems for those purposes.
Technical limitations
The timer runs in your browser. Sleep mode, power-saving features and background-tab restrictions can delay or interrupt updates and sound alerts. Closing or reloading the tab ends the running timer; it does not automatically resume afterwards.
Sound alerts are audible only when enabled and permitted by your browser and device. Check the volume when needed and keep the timer page open. Do not rely solely on this timer for important appointments.
Training automatically advances through preparation, exercise and rest, ending after the final exercise round without another rest. Keeping the screen awake depends on browser and device support and may be revoked, especially in power-saving mode or when the page moves to the background. It does not prevent manual screen locking. Missed alerts are not replayed in a batch. Choose durations and intensity appropriate for you; the timer provides no medical or personalised exercise advice.
Settings stay in your browser
Timer and display preferences are saved persistently only if you enable “Remember settings on this device” and your browser allows it. They are not synchronised between devices. Clearing browser data or using private browsing may cause them to be lost. You can delete saved preferences under “Local settings”.
